I had a lovely stay at the Blackwell Hotel, enjoying the historic charm and beautiful decor. However, I faced some issues that impacted my overall experience. The fireplace in my room was just a faux design rather than a functioning one, and breakfast arrangements were misleading since I had to find a restaurant that didn’t open until later.

The Mansion Fireplace Suite was charming, but the faux fireplace was disappointing. I was expecting a real gas fireplace. The room itself was comfortable and spacious, providing a cozy atmosphere.
Service

The staff was accommodating and helpful. They did their best to assist me with my concerns, which I appreciated. However, better clarity about breakfast service would enhance the experience.

The location is fantastic, just a short walk to downtown and Tubbs Hill. It made exploring Coeur d’Alene very convenient, and I enjoyed the vibrant surroundings.

Breakfast was a bit of a letdown since the vouchers were for a restaurant that opened late and no longer served breakfast. I ended up waiting quite a while without a proper meal.

The historical hotel itself is beautiful, maintaining a lot of character. I loved the inviting common areas, but I think the breakfast setup needs a re-evaluation.

I recently stayed at the Blackwell Hotel and found it to be a mixed experience. The charm and beauty of the historic hotel, along with comfortable rooms, made for a lovely stay. However, the breakfast was disappointing and the lack of engagement from the staff left me wanting more. Overall, while I enjoyed the ambiance and comfort, I wouldn't prioritize staying here again due to the service and dining shortcomings.
Rooms

The room was spacious and had a comfortable king bed with soft sheets. I appreciated the large shower in my room, but some rooms had even better clawfoot tubs. However, the bathroom lights were half burnt out, which was a bit annoying.
Service

Unfortunately, the staff's lack of friendliness was a noticeable downside. During breakfast, I felt completely ignored by the staff, which made the experience uncomfortable.

Breakfast was very disappointing. The spread felt cheap, with cold eggs and bland pastries. Given the standard I expected, I was really let down and ended up going out for breakfast the next day.

While the mansion itself was beautiful, I noticed some areas, especially the outdoor amenities, were not well maintained. The hot tub and seating areas could have been more inviting.
